Annual Wellness Examination

  • Comprehensive evaluation of dental health, ears, eyes, skin/coat, urogenital, musculoskeletal condition, heart/lung health, and body weight assessment.  At each visit you will have the opportunity to discuss with your doctor – behavioral/training questions, food recommendations, socialization with people and other animals, and any other questions regarding the care and ongoing wellness of your pet.

Diagnostic and monitoring screening

  • Blood work allows our doctors to evaluate what is going on inside your pet and may provide valuable information before your pet may show physical symptoms of disease.  Tests evaluate organ function, numbers/distribution of red and while blood cells (CBC), urine, heartworm status and check for intestinal parasites.

Vaccines

  • Alpine Animal Hospital follows recommended guidelines for pet vaccines as well as lifestyle evaluation.  Not all pets need all vaccines.  But regardless of your pets needs our plans include ALL vaccines.

Dental Cleaning (not in puppy/kitten packages)

  • Studies show that over 80% of dogs and cats over the age of four suffer from periodontal disease which is where plaque and bacteria from around the gum line cause pain and inflammation and weaken the connection between the tooth and the gums.  Not only does periodontal disease cause bad breath but it can lead to tartar build up, pain, lost teeth, and over time can lead to disease in the liver, kidneys, heart and lungs.  According to the American Animal Hospital Association, dogs and cats should receive annual oral examinations as well as a dental cleaning under full, general anesthesia starting at one year for cats and small-breed dogs and at two years of age for large-breed dogs. The team at Alpine Animal Hospital strives to prevent such disease by starting dental care during the early stages of your pet’s life so they will have the best chance for a long and healthy life.

Heartworm/flea/tick prevention

  • According to the American Heartworm Association, all pets, regardless of their indoor or outdoor status, should be placed on heartworm prevention year-round. Heartworms can cause severe heart damage and possible death. It is much easier and less expensive to prevent heartworms than to treat them. In our wellness plans, we provide heartworm, flea and tick prevention for your pet to keep them healthy.

Since recommendations vary depending on a pets age, we offer a few different plans.  Click below on the appropriate plan for your pet to see what each plan includes.

Financial information regarding our plans.  The initial payment for your pets Wellness plan includes 3 months of payments plus a one-time enrollment fee. We will then bill your stored payment method on the 5th of each month.  We offer a 5% discount if you choose to pay for your pet’s entire plan upfront.
